Elite Junior Chess 2019 Grand Prix Series
The Elite Junior Chess 2019 Grand Prix Series, is a series of 4 events in 2019 and early 2020 organised by GM Nick Pert. The total of each player's top three scores from the series of events will make up their Grand Prix score. The top 7 scorers from the series will win a cash prize as follows:
1st - £100
2nd - £50
3rd - £30
4th - £20
5th - £15
6th - £10
7th - £5
Only one beginners / improvers section score may be used towards the Grand Prix score. If two players have the same top score, the 4th event score will be used as a tie-break. In the event that only one player has a 4th event score, that player will be deemed the winner. In the event that the 4th score is also tied, 1st and 2nd place prizes will be combined and split equally. If there are more than two players in joint first position for the Grand Prix prize after tie-break has been applied, all prizes will be combined and split equally.
